HOF Notes
In this video I started with shoes because I was outside and didn’t want any pebbles in my socks/feet.
First of all you’ll need a foundation > underwear, long sleeved undershirt and high-cut socks. This will protect your skin from bothersome straps.
My sequence for suiting-up:
1) Jock
2) Pants
3) Shoes
4) Leg Pads (start with your ankle strap and work upwards) use electrical tape for additional support if you need it (around the top of your foot and shins)
There is clear hockey sock-tape that works just as well and isn’t unsightly.
5) Uppers
**Most Boxlax goalie chest protectors will not fit into your pants. Tighten your pant suspenders and wear your uppers overtop.
6) Jersey (wear a jersey that fits, not an oversized circus tent)
7) Helmet (with throat protector) you should be able to put-on and take-off your own headgear.
8) Gloves (wear boxlax goalie gloves, field gloves don’t provide proper protection)
***Protection is paramount. Keeping that in mind, adjust (customize) your equipment to maximize your range of motion and comfort.
If you have new equipment, to help break it in - wear it around the house, inside and outside. If you own a stair master or elliptical trainer do some reps with your gear on. Do as much as you can wearing your equipment. You want to feel good in it, so it becomes your second skin.

Concentrate/Focus on the ball a full 60+ minutes.
At practice, when you are out of the net resting, strengthen your concentration skills by staying focused on the ball at all times. Reset for each rep as you would if you were in goal.

HOF Notes
For the shooting/warm-up drills Goalies should be wearing their mask (sport goggles are an option), jockstrap, and some sort of soft knee pad, not their shin pads. Gloves are optional.
Have shooter(s) start at 3/4 speed to allow goaltender to make sure they’re prepared to “FEEL” the ...
